## Frequently asked questions
- **Do I need an appointment?** No. Walk in to any of our four offices during business hours. Mobile fingerprinting for businesses is scheduled by phone.
- **How long does a visit take?** Most Live Scan and ink card visits take about ten minutes. Results are typically sent within three business days.
- **What should I bring?** Bring one valid photo ID, such as a California or out-of-state ID or driver’s license, a passport or a military ID. Bring your Live Scan form or FD-258 card if you have one.
- **I don’t have my form. Can you help?** Yes. We can print your Live Scan form in the office and provide standard FD-258 ink cards, free of charge.
- **Do I need Live Scan or ink cards?** Live Scan sends your fingerprints electronically to the California Department of Justice and, when required, the FBI. Ink cards (FD-258) are used for FBI checks and for applications outside California. The agency or employer requesting your fingerprints will tell you which one you need.
- **Can you fingerprint our staff at our office?** Yes. Our mobile team brings the scanner and applicant cards to your business and can fingerprint your whole team in one visit. Call (619) 971-0203 for scheduling and a quote.
- **Do you hold Live Scan events for schools and organizations?** Yes. We run large mobile Live Scan events for schools, churches, Little League and other youth sports, nonprofits and businesses.
